The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking to buy a mid-priced mop and robot vacuum. It gives a great mopping experience, but doesn't have the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.
In the course of testing, it was able to tackle dust and dry oats on carpets of medium pile as well as pet hair on hard floors. It doesn't employ LIDAR, however, as cheaper models do, to identify your home.
Roomba s9+ from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and numerous features, including the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. It can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest automated schedules to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the touch of the button. You can choose the general clean option, which prioritizes the removal of larger pieces of debris like rice and cereal. You can also choose two mappings to ensure that the entire home is thoroughly cleaned.
This vacuum works well both on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some others do and can remove pet hair with ease. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot claims it will get better with future models.
The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that focuses on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which it hopes will allow it to be able to swaddle walls and furniture. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are standard, but we found it to be only marginally superior to circular models.
iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with an advanced filtering system that stops tiny dust particles and allergens from recirculating in your home. It's a nice claim but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the high price price.
Its smart navigation system employs a combination of sensors to keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology to map your interior. It then cleans your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundaries so that the robot knows which areas need extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a robot that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are as effective as those of more expensive models and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a better job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.
The only downside is that it lacks an additional rubber brush to allow for more thorough cleaning, but that's an acceptable price to pay if you want to get one of the best robots available. The dust tank of the robo-vac is bigger than most of its competitors and filling it up only takes two or three times, even when you've got the most dirt.
As for the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than high-powered modes, produce very minimal noise, meaning you can work or even watch television without being distracted. It will gently bump into furniture or walls, and then move away if it comes across one.
What really makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly autonomously with very little need for human intervention. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and will automatically move trash into a hidden bin. It also cleans and dries the clean water tank. The app will only alert you when something is wrong like the water tank being empty or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to a full bin.
You can also combine or create actual rooms in order to alter the way Q Revo manages your home. This feature is useful if you have different flooring in different areas of your house or in the event that you have to regularly clear out clutter such as toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac was also one of the best performers in my test, picking up debris on carpets and hardwood floors in the first go. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it into.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum that has a powerful suction to clean carpet and hard floors, as well as a rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also comes with self-cleaning bases that automatically empties and washes the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them free of germs and ready to use again. It also has a sensor system that can detect obstacles better and prevents it from falling on furniture and other objects.
The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version is sleeker and more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still large--it is more than two feet in height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot J7.
This version is also more efficient than the X1, as it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a full cleaning of around 1,500 square feet with just one charge. And it has a larger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when required.
The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that works even when you're not at home. It also has a smart routing function that allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a predetermined route.
The X2 Omni is the most effective robot at mopping. Its rotating mop pads remove tough stains and its motor produces lots of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent as well, and it boosts suction when it detects carpet to ensure it's doing the job well. It is equipped with a large, rechargeable battery that lasts up to a week. The mopping mode of the robot is also powerful.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a high-end model that offers a number of features that aren't often found on robots in this price range. It can create detailed floor maps and identify various flooring types. It's also one of the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are great, but they also place the L10s in the luxury category. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners want.
Designed to look like a modern floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish highlighted by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine is adorned with an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and furniture while moving around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front panel, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top, there's a single button that essentially serves as the on/off switch. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The circular menu at the middle of the control panel lets you to choose cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons will open the settings of the app which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to robot vacuum cleaner help you map out your home. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or children.
The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance which clears 98.4% of debris from our hard-floor test and removing all but the most difficult juice stains. Its mops also do a great job, removing 98.4 percent of debris from our tile, carpet, and wood tests. It was not as effective in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
