The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a great choice if you are seeking a robot mop and vacuum that's priced in the middle. It's a great mopping performance but lacks some of the features that are found in its more expensive sibling.
In tests, it was able to take on dry oats and dust on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard flooring. It does not use LIDAR, however, like cheaper models do to map your home.
1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the best-rated robots. It offers impressive cleaning power and plenty of features, including a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. This robot can recognize your cleaning habits, and recommend automatic schedules that will give you a truly hands-free cleaning experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning functions with the click of the button. You can opt for a general clean that prioritizes cleaning up larger debris like rice and cereal, or opt for two thorough mappings of your area to ensure that your home has a clean and tidy appearance.
This robot vacuum performs well on both floors with no carpet and carpets with a low pile. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as quickly as other models do and can clean up pet hair without much difficulty. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot says it will improve with future models.
The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that focuses on improving the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to hug walls and furniture. It's a great improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we discovered it to be only incrementally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also features a superior filtration system which blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice claim, however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the price tag.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors that remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology to map the interior. It then cleans your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundaries so that the robot can determine which areas need extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q revo stands out. Its vac settings are just as efficient as those found on more expensive models, and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.
It's only downside is the lack of a second brush for more thorough cleaning. But that's not a problem if you want to own one of the top robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank also bigger than those on many of its competitors, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the highest dirt level.
For the mopping device, I was impressed with its ability to remove tough dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than high-powered modes, produce very low noise, which means you can work or watch television without getting distracted. If it encounters the wall or a furniture piece it gently smacks into it before moving forward.
The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and will automatically move garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app is capable of nagging you only when something is in need of attention, such as the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled because of a full dust bin.
You can also create and combine actual rooms to customize how the Q Revo will treat your home. This is a great feature for those who have multiple rooms in your home that have different flooring materials or there's a lot of clutter that must be cleared out regularly, such as toys, clothes and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, removing debris from carpets as well as hardwoods in its first run. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I suggest drying them with a towel before sending it into.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum with a powerful suction to clean hard and carpet floors, plus the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough stains. It also has an automatic cleaning station that cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready to be reused. It also has a sensor that can detect obstacles better and prevents it from falling on furniture and other objects.
The most notable improvement over the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the sleeker, more modern design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still large--it is more than two feet in the height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This version is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a full cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet on one charge. And it has a larger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris, making it easier to empty when needed.
Finally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as an assistant voice that works offline, allowing you to manage it even when not home. It also has a smart routing feature that allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a predetermined path.
The Omni X2 Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested, because of its rotating mop pads that scrub away tough stains and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent too, and it boosts suction when it senses carpets to ensure that it does the job well. It comes with a huge, rechargeable battery that lasts up to one week. The mopping feature of the robot is also powerful.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality robot vacuum and mop that comes with a variety of convenience features you do not often find on robots at this price. It can make precise floor maps and recognize different types of flooring. It's also among the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. But while these functions are useful however, they also push the L10s Ultra into the category of luxury, which might make it a little more expensive than the average homeowner require.
It is designed to resemble a modern floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish that's highlighted by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which protects furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage when moving through the home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top, there's one button that serves as the on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can turn it off and send it back to its base station. The circular menu at the middle of the control panel allows you to choose cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons open the app's settings where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map your home. This helps the robot clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR also helps the robot vacuum to recognize and avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for families with pets or children.
The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner, which removes 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hard floors, and removing all but stubborn juice stains. Its mops also perform well in removing 98.4% debris from our carpet, tile, and wood tests. However, it wasn't as efficient in dealing with sand top rated robot vacuum on the floor or quaker oats on the carpet.
