The dust bag is expected to last for about 30 loads, which is about a month or two, and you'll have to replace the filter once every so often (which is actually recommended by iRobot). Our experience suggests that the iRobot S9+ doesn't get very loud during operation, so it's a good choice for those who live with kids or pets.

You'll need to install the Eufy Home app and follow the instructions for connecting to your Wi-Fi network. Once you've done that, the app will help you create a precise map of your home. You can name rooms or divide rooms into sub-rooms (good for open plan living) and direct the X8 Hybrid to specific areas that need cleaning at a given time. Eufy's app is more user-friendly and precise than other robots that have similar scanning and mapping functions.
The X8 Hybrid has a great feature: you can activate the vacuum cleaner or mop by voice thanks to the integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. This is a wonderful feature that makes the robot hands-free. It was very effective in our test home.
Like other robotic vacuums, the X8 Hybrid has some issues with floors that are not clean. It can miss pet fur and other small objects, and can cause bumps to objects like its charger on the charging platform. It is also not as quiet and the whirring sound could be distracting as other models.
Roborock V3S Pro
This model isn't as feature-rich as some of the more expensive models we've tested however, it does have all the basics. It has a big enough dust bin to hold a lot of dirt before it's empty and its vacuum and mop system is perfect for carpets with low pile and hard floors. It is also very quiet. We were able to watch television while it was cleaning without feeling like we were constantly bombarded by the sound.
Our test subjects were impressed with how easy it was to set up and use, and were amazed by its ability to get all the mess out of their flooring. It also did a good job of picking up pet hair and messes on carpeting, though it wasn't as successful in tackling stubborn stuck-on staining. The app was simple to use and intuitive. They could set up the vacuum to clean regularly to cut down on manual work. It doesn't feature object avoidance or mapping technology, so it isn't able to be used to send specific rooms or follow virtual boundaries (though magnetic boundaries can be used).
The V3S Pro is another model that is part of iRobot's affordable line. It offers many impressive features at a reasonable price. It beat out all other robotic vacuums in our tests in terms of mapping and avoiding obstacles, and it's the perfect option for those who want a cleaner self-emptying robotic vacuum that is able to handle pet hair and messes on both hardwood floors and low-pile carpeting. It's also quiet and has a huge dust bin which can hold a lot of dust before it has to be empty.
The V3S Pro did not make it into our top choice lists from reliable sources that perform hands-on tests, but it received high marks from Modern Castle, Smart Robot Reviews and The Ambient. The V3S Pro was simple to use and set up, however the battery life was short.
